A Job Training & Placement program designed to connect Ready-Now Workers to Ready-Now Jobs!
I CAN BE is a pilot program designed to raise employment levels and increase economic stability in the most impoverished neighborhoods in Louisville and prepare residents for available jobs with local employers. UPS is the lead partner with the Louisville Urban League on the program and many other local employers are being added now.
I CAN BE is a focused effort to recruit, prepare and connect individuals who reside primarily in the zip codes of 40203, 40210, 40211, and 40212 to work at UPS and other businesses in Louisville Metro.
I CAN BE will create a pool of Ready Now Workers for Ready Now Jobs in industries such as logistics/distribution, healthcare, retail, etc.. The Louisville Urban League will utilize a network of collaborators including churches, community-based organizations, community centers, education institutions, and others in the target area to identify, recruit, prepare and connect qualified candidates for available positions.
